GTO threw a fit today

Default GTO threw a fit today

Took a 30 minute ride to a "local" speed shop today.
30 minutes because lots of traffic lights. lol..
when i got out of the speed shop, the Goat started
to hesitate and threw a CEL, P0300 code, random miss fire.
Aintake air temps where in the 148° mark what the hell? when i got home i checked the intake and
found the top intake tube on the stock lid bent in. the one where the filter goes.
i think i tightened the clamp to much and it bent in the tube. could this have caused the CEL? you know letting un metered air going through.
I know about the code because i have a predator tuner.
I have also spent a lot of time loging and adjusting slope
And PE.
I checked the plugs, and they are OK, none burnt or broken The gap is .40. factory stock plugs.
I checked the plug wires with my ohm meter, and looks OK. they have continuity. Made sure the plug wires snapped back in the plugs, i literally got close enough to listen when they snapped in.
The only thing i did not check was the coils.
Thats when i got tired of troubleshooting and decided to call It a day. wilma starts up fine! and runs fine! it`s only when she gets HOT and sits for a wile that she acts up....
tipical bitch!!!! LOL....

That would be a symptom of a old school distributor with single coil ignition system with a coil going bad .. I am not sure how it would apply to one of these LS series engines..a wild *** scientific guess would be that you night have a bad coil in the bunch ..
