V6 Trans Am
I am a sales consultant at a chevrolet dealership and had a 99 trans am come in on trade with the 3800 V6. The vin indicates the motor is K which is the 6. I have never heard of a Trans Am having the 3800, but carfax comes back clean. I like to consider myself a ver knowledgeable f-body guy, but this has me baffled. Any light shed would be very much appreciated.

Sounds like someone did what I did: blow their motor. However, my solution was find another LS1 to go in, and I got lucky and am building a motor for mine. Sounds like someone wishes they had a T/A and swapped some stuff without reporting it.

According to the book K, is a 3800 V6. (unless i misread) And I am with ya's, I swear there was never a T/A with a V6. It doesn't really matter to me a whole lot since I was not the one taking it in on trade, but my bosses tell me I am wrong that they came with a 6 in the T/A's. I hate being wrong, so I was looking for a little back up. Thanks again.
