What do people mean when they say they have a Camaro M4 or M6, or a Trans Am A4? How can I tell what mine is?

Do you row your own gears? =M6
Do you put it in D and stab and steer? =A4

manual six speed=m6
automatic 4 speed=A4

no manual 4 speed f bodys but thats wat m4 would mean
