Default Holley sucks🤬🤬🤬

I’ve been wanting to post this for a while now. Anyone that has Holley swap components. I hope you all have your headers. If not good luck. Seems like they continue to sell all the components EXCEPT the headers which they discontinued. So hopefully your not like me and have all the components for your swaps but can’t get headers. I have two cars with all the components except for headers. I finally got one close to being all done and found out that don’t make them anymore. The Holley rep said I should be able to find some other headers that fit or maybe some manifolds. So now I’m basically sitting on two LS swaps that I cannot finish due to headers. I have everything from the mounts to the exhaust. But waited on the headers till I got closer to being done. Thanks Holley. I have a puzzle with one of the biggest pieces missing. All because the Holley rep told me they hired a bunch of tree huggers higher up. Hey Holley 🖕🏼

Unfortunately nothing will work since everything is made to work together. I would have to cobble an exhaust system that was made for a specific pair of headers. The sad thing is they still continue to sell it.

Dang, I bought the Holley swap components for an LS into a first gen camaro. I saw the swap headers go on clearance back in May, and was able to pick up a set for about $300 shipped (long tube, 1 3/4", painted).

You can still get gen 1 f body. They discounted all headers for post 1974 vehicles

I feel for all you guys that got hung-out to dry by Holley on their swap systems. It’s unfortunate what has taken place there over the last 2.5 years.

Someone that works there told me in an email they hired a bunch of woke tree huggers. All they did was screw a lot of people over.

Private equity. They are squeezing the last of the blood from that rock then bankruptcy and sell it off for scrap. Rinse and repeat.

Oddly enough, the issues all started after they went public a couple of years ago. I survived through four PE ownership changes during my time there and got let go about a year after they went public. I’m grateful to be back designing products for a privately owned company again.

I tried to buy a set of Blackheart headers for my Catalina LS swap a few months ago. DENIED!! So I took a chance on a set of stainless shorty headers meant for an LS swapped Chevy S-10 and the fit was very easy. Good welds, solid flanges at the manifold. No hammers required with plenty of room inside the frame rails - also came with pre-drilled and fitted bungs on bolted pipe extensions . You won't be out much money trying a set of these.

My only minor complaint is that I need a thin-walled, deep well socket to change any of the middle four spark plugs. A slight loosening of each header is also required here. Mercifully, an LS engine only rarely needs a spark plug change.

Rick

I had been thinking about posting the same message! These components are such a well engineered system by toddonc, and Holley has decided to discontinue the most important component of that system! This makes the whole 'system' much less useful.

I had the same experience, I was collecting Holley parts for a lq4 foxbody, and then found out there were no more headers!! Grrr. I have it running now with Holley parts but instead using ebay cast exhaust manifolds. But I would much rather have the headers that were designed for this system.

Couple of thoughts header wise.. I know they are China made but maybe test fit the Speed Engineering headers?
Our if you like to fab stuff build your own headers? I've done two sets for my LS swaps.
I bought a header kit from Summit with LS head flanges. I suck at welding so I tack the tubbing and then have a local welding shop to do the final tig welding.
Its time consuming and a bit fiddly but its pretty cost effective.

What are you installing the LS into.
I used Texas speed 1 7/8 02 Fbody headers. Drivers side has a kick out but that was easy to make work.
holley stuff was mostly copied by other companies so it should work.

Fox body and 2nd gen Camaro. I bought the components because someone could simply install everything in their driveway and have a complete swap.

I had a similar issue. Got the motor mounts (which were perfect) and ordered the headers. After 4 months, I kept getting told it would be 1 month...then 2...then 3. Finally decided to cancel the order and got Sanderson headers. They arrived within a week and worked perfectly. It's a shame what's happened to Holley. I have a neighbor that was interviewing there for a high-up VP of operations role and he decided to back out after seeing what a sh!tshow it was.
