Default hole in intake port on head

I never really looked at the heads before but when I got them back from Absolute Speed I noticed that every intake port had a hole in it where the rocker bolt comes down through. Is this supposed to be like this? The heads flow good though.

yep, and once you get them on there will be a little bit of the bolt sticking out there also.

Yes, that is normal. Put a little locktite on the intake rocker bolts when you put them in. It'll kinda act as a sealant to keep oil from dripping down through the threads and into the intake.

All of my intakes look like that on my 5.3L heads. TEA recommends applying black silicon sealant to the intake rocker bolt threads prior to installing.
