Default FRA! on a 02 Firehawk

Hey guys I have a cousin who will start modding his Firehawk and I told him that he should do the FRA mod.....and he said he already had cutout the baffles from the nostrils of his hood........in other words..he opened it up to where his hood is functional.....but I would think the FRA would also help him right.....I saw his air box and it is not even raised like the WS6....so I told him to go ahead and do the FRA mod but he's not sure.......what do you guys think?..... ....thanks !!!

I did the FRA mod on my 02 T/A.It's easy and fun, you'll get more throttle response. It's just a piece of plastic,i cut mine out and filed it smooth...looks factory.

It takes probably like 30 mins to get it all done...

www.installuniversity.com

Go to install documents, that will show you how to do it, if hes not sure...

I did it on my Firehawk and it helped quite a bit. How did he cut the baffles out of his hood btw? I really want to do that to my hood but I'm not sure how to do it.

Two Points

1) Don't cut the baffles on a Hawk under warranty. That'll hose you. SLP contendes that the baffles are integral to the structure.

2) There isn't a raised box on a Hawk because the hood intake lines up with the lower box. The WS6 gets a raised box only so that the box inlet lines up to the WS6 hood.

Tell him to go for it. It makes it that much easier to decide to get a cold air kit like the Super Sucker Ram Air.
