Default Homemade, direct bolt-in muffler replacement and....

VIDEOS ADDED!
i have pacesetter long tube headers with a pacesetter ORY and then a magnaflow system from there back. i took the muffler out, and fabricated a piece that directly takes the place with better, more even, flow to each side (judged by hand pressure and the "fog/smoke" on a cool day) and if i decide i don't like it i can bolt my muffler right back in there. it sounds BADASS, the only thing i dont like, is from about 2500 to 4000 rpm or so, it makes a really bad like crackling/ pinging noise that i dont like at all. i was wondering, if i put like a dynomax bullet on my I pipe right before it goes over the axle, will that cut down on that pinging at all? i dont mind that its loud, just dont like the ping. thanks!

ALSO.....i would be more then happy to build one for anyone that wants one. would be fully tig welded with aluminized pipe like the magnaflow system is (i am a certified welder, and work as one as well as a fabricator everyday) i can get some pictures or sound clips also....

i couldnt get any pictures, but the last video is of the piece itself, under the car. this was the first on i made, and i was trying to get it done in a hurry, so i quickly mig welded some of the joints and this one has more cuts and welds in it then the next ones will. i made mine out of 3" then reduced it to 2.5" on the tip ends. could do it the other way if you guys think it wont matter. it would be cheapier that way. if your interested, i am gettin ready to make another one for a buddy here and could get some good detailed pics of it when i get done!
also, the videos dont BY ANY MEANS, do the sound justice, its much deaper then it seems. i love it!

I don't think a bullet would help, but a chambered muffler or spiral-flo might. I would think that a bullet would just make the noise more prevalent, but I'm no expert. It does sound bad *** though! Nice work.

If you have a dual system ( can't tell from photos ) A X-Pipe will act as a muffler to some degree. My 3" mandrel duals were wicked loud through 2 hooker aero mufflers in that rpm range too: put in an X pipe and it is now very nice sounding.

A set of Magnaflow 59959 catalytic converters would fix that exhaust right up. It'll get rid of the rasp without hurting flow or cutting down the volume much at all. Plus, they're so small and lightweight, they won't hurt clearance at all. I can't wait 'til mine come in the mail.

its the regular y pipe system that magnaflow makes, just with the muffler removed and the piping in the place of it. i had already orded a dynomax bullet when you guys replyed so hopefully that will town it down just a tad. thanks
