Default Re: PORT OR NOT TO PORT?

4NSPEED, Do a search in EXTERNAL ENGINE for "maf port". Use the 1 year time frame option. Find the thread by UNIT213 "Re:SLP MAF-Port or not to port". In this thread, there'll be a link given which will connect you to an entire archive of discussion on this subject. You might find that the conclusion reached by the folks with experience is a thumbs down to maf porting. The concensus is that porting changes the velocity of incoming air, and thus alters the relationship of maf calibration to airflow. Accordingly, descreening has no negative effects and is ok to do.
I cannot give my opinion yet, as I haven't had the opportunity to "experience" my ported maf.
