Which long-tube header package?
I want a stainless long-tube header package, with cats, for my newly acquired 2000 Corvette. I've found three possibilities, thus far. I'm most concerned with ease of install and power gains. These are the three I was looking at (with the best price I've found in parens):
Kooks 1 3/4" Headers and catted x-pipe ($1,639.98)
Supermaxx long tube header package ($1695.99)
LG Pro long tube headers w/ high flow cats ($1995.00)
ARH LongTube 1-3/4 headers, cats, x-pipe ($1,825.00)
Which one would y'all recommend? Are the LG's worth the extra $300? Is there another option that I'm missing? Store out there that has them listed cheaper?

I have the American Racing setup that I bought coated from A&A for the price you have listed. The quality of the system is awesome. While I don't have an issue with them I wish the front O2 sensor locations were positioned more like LG's. The LG's also have the tabs on them that allow you to bolt them to the engine in the stock location under the car near the bellhouse. The AR's do not have this added tab. I know I am being very picky here but if I had it to do over I would probably get the LG Pro setup.

I have the SuperMaxx and have been very happy with them. They fit perfectly with no dinking around to make them fit.
You can get a better price than $1695 if you do some searching on Google.

my buddy put a set of LG pro Lt's on his car. Not a problem and he really likes them.
When I buy headers I am going to go with the Kooks. I think with the list you have you can't go wrong any way you go.

If you plan to drag race, you will get MORE top end & not lose a thing low/mid with the Kooks.
I had LG's for 6 yrs & switched to KOOKS & got 10 RWHP & 8 TQ more from 4000 rpms on up.. Good for a .05 quicker ET at the track..
