Default Small cams

Anyone running something similar to MTI B1 cam in their cars? I know its an old school small cam and more power can be made with a bigger one, but i love its drivibility.

What kind of power are you putting out w/heads? What type of heads and A4 or M6?

I just put an X1 in today. It made 403.1 rwhp. I know it is a little bigger than the B1 you were asking about.

I've got a MTI Stealth II cam with Loyd Elliot heads and MAC mids. Cars not on the road yet but I saw a M6 Vette that made 413 RWHP with the Stealth II, Patriot heads, and LT headers. If I'm anywhere near 400 RWHP I'll be real happy.

Gannet, sorry I input comments in your post by mistake.

It is a XFI/XE-R, -11* overlap, 12:1 Static Compression

I think I'm gonna have to rename the Z to "Stealth Bomber"

I have a TR220-114 and PRC 5.3 stage 1.5 heads. Through the M6 it lays down 394 rwhp and 381 rwtq.

I'm very happy with the combo. Drives well and has great mid range torque. I'm +350 rwtq from 3000 rpm up.

im a true believer in small to mid size cams for these cars. out of all my ls1 cammed cars, id have to say the 224 cam was the most fun. it had near stock street manners and pulled like a freight train all the way to the top.

I'm a newbie and also interested in small cams. I'm interested in the Comp 212/218 but I'm growing to like the TR224. However, I'm wondering if I will be able to get away with stock tune until I can get the car tuned.

i must seriously have some tuning issues or some kind of other problem with the car as my BIG cam only made 410/390... thats heads, cam, and ls6 intake.

this thread is depressing.
