I did it with a hydraulic press (Harbor Freight, on sale; only
thing I ever used it for) along with a 2" PVC pipe coupling
("receiver") and one of my large sockets, forget the size,
for the "pusher".

It's a mighty snug fit so you need a lot of force. You could
probably do the same thing with a bottle jack, push and
receive widgets and a dead weight like a car frame point.
That's basically what those Harbor Freight presses are - a
bottle jack, a trolley and a rigid frame.

I used a large socket and a bench vise.

i dont want to burst your bubble...

but the 1LE lca's and the stock lca's are the same metal.

the bushings are different but you can get solid rubber ones from autozone and moog problem solver bushings that are pretty good

and mostly, boxing the LCA's while strengthening the lca under pushing loads (as in acceleration) hurt the LCA's ability to twist.. which is not good.. causes bind and an increase in roll stiffness (but bind is not an approved method for increasing roll stiffness) when one wheel or the other goes over a bump, the lca needs to twist

Acceptable LCA's = stock (un-boxed) with stiffer rubber bushings, tubular with poly or rubber at one end and heim joint at the other, or double rod end

Boxed stockers and boxed/tubular aftermarket with stiff rubber or poly bushings at both ends are less desirable

and yes, you can switch the bushings with a large bench vise and the previously mentioned bits of hardware
