Anyone DD dumped true duals?
I'm thinking about it, wondering how the noise is when your driving around with the windows up, deafening? Do the turn downs make a difference, IE, turn downs faced towards the sides of the car, or down to the ground, or even no turn downs and just letting the muffler be the exit?

Before I had my duals ran over the axle it was just a X pipe with bullet mufflers and no turn downs...extremely loud. The drone made the radio useless and if you wanted to talk to a passenger you would have to practically yell at them. However this is on a h/c engine, back when it was just a bolton engine it wasn't as bad but the drone became very annoying on trips. I would suggest running the duals out the back or at least turn downs.

Turndowns pointed to the ground and it won't be that bad. With a bolt on motor like yours you will still be able to talk to your passenger and use the radio. It won't be the same as you have now, you will hear the exhaust especially at WOT. But its very driveable.
Heads and cam are a different story however.

I've seen your car at the strip, its very loud, but I love it lol. I think the cc306 and the lunati I'm getting off randy are rather close right? I love the way your car sounds lol.

I ran a 3in X dumped on my last F-body for over a year. I orginally had 40 series flowmasters(flow crappy but loved the way it sounded) but tired of the constant "drone" while cruising. Flowmaster have a pretty high interior resanstance(I cant spell). I changed them out to bullets and it was louder but not loud inside the car. I loved the bullets alot more, plus is really makes a cam's lope sound better.

I must love posting pics of my exhaust... haha.. there's gotta be at least 5-6+ threads with my photos in'em. Anyway, mine are angled out at the tires a bit which I believe helps a little but my main advantage to keeping the noise down is the sound deadening material I put in for the stereo a while back. Oh, and I dont have any trouble hearing my stereo or talking to passengers but there is still a bit of drone.
THIS STUFF HELPS ALOT.. hehe.. I put the dynamat stuff in back before I did the exhaust and it was mainly for the stereo. Just like it keeps the stereo mostly in the car, it keeps alot of the exhaust drone out (but its still there).
