Default What to do with the stock cam?

So after you swap out the stock cam, is it good for anything other than this?

I think I'll make a clock out of the springs.

I saw one guy make a Lamp of an LS1 head. My sons room is almost entirely made out of things that came off my car.

Straight down the center of the cam shaft. I actually had an old floor lamp that was skinny enouugh to fit right in the center of the cam, so I just cut the shaft to fit the length of the cam and reassembled the lamp.

I think it was like a $15.00 lamp at home depot.

I surprised my boy with it this morning and he says to me, "You should make it so the cam will spins when you turn it on too." I'm like, "Shut up kid, I'm lucky the one I put in the car actually spins."

Here's tjhe boy's room. Note the rear spoiler w/ functioning brake light hung in the corner. The chairs are made from the tires I smoked in the video in my sig. The table the Camshaft lamp is on, was made from the front tires.

Some might say I'm living vicariously through my son, but I just say it helps me justify buying things for the car to my wife. You know, "Hey hun, You know a set of heads for a book rack would look real nice in here, don't you think?"

I couldn't figure out what to do with the springs, pushrods, and reatiners, right now I'm leaning towards some type of wall clock.
