Default how to clean tinted windows?

my front windshield and side windows are pretty grimy and in need of a good cleaning. but i'm pretty sure i once came across a thread somewhere that said people with tints shouldn't use windex or anything with ammonia in it cause that would ruin the tints? so i went to the supermarket and got a can of those "all purpose interior" wiping sheets....which streaked like a bitch and now it looks so much worse. can anyone give me some tips on what to use to get a streak free shine w/o messing up my tints?

Word, that's what I use it's at Wal*mart for like 4.50

Windex, etc. Has Amonia in it that will eat off your tints, always read the back of the bottle and make sure it doesn't have any amonia and preferably says safe for tinted windows.

The person who tinted my car told me to use soap and water to clean the tinted windows. I just mix dishwashing soap and water and spray and wipe.
