i'm going to guess a typo as well - in my old car i ran almost identical times - 11.17@119 with a 1.51 60'.
so i'm going to guess he meant to type 119 instead of 129mph. and i'll be his car is VERY light.

11.17 @ 119 is a good heads and cam car, or a light cam only car. Even if it is 119 mph, to do that with 330 rwhp takes a superlight car. Think about something like an 04 Zo6. Easily exceeds 330 rwhp, has pretty good gearing, and they don't trap 119 on a regular basis.

I've got it in mine. I like it!
With a Vig3200, LS1 intake, headers, hooker catback, superchips tune, on stock 17" wheels w/Nittos, and full weight; I ran a 1.75 60' 8.20 1/8th 8X? MPH. The track and nittos were not doing my car any justice.
Since then I've added LS6 intake, MS3 cam, UD pulley, Moser 9" 3.70, full suspension minus adj. shocks, MT radials with skinnies, removed about 50lbs, replaced the vig with the PE4200, and swapped to TSP duals, added ported TB and a tune. Here's the results - 1.56 60' 7.34 1/8th 96MPH.
This converter is meant for high RPMs. Cam only I spun it to 6200 RPMs. I might have done better with a PT series at the time. But I'm keeping it in cause I'm getting heads for the car and I'll be spinning it up to 6800. So I'm kind of curious how it will do. After that I'll see how it handles a 150 shot.

Compared to the Vig it slips more but I'm use to it. Plus once you roll your foot in the throttle you forget all about it slipping. The only thing that bothers me sometimes is with the duals and cam... It's loud as hell when going up a hill! I had the hooker catback on there after I put the stall in. It was a real nice ride, just slips more than the vig. I'll be going back to that soon. Also I know for a fact that lower gears will make it feel tighter. I wish I could compare it against a PT4400. I've always wanted to see what the difference was.
As far as nitrous, I'm doing it anyway. There's a lot of things not built for nitrous but people do it anyway. If it's too much off the line I'll do a progressive! I know I won't get the best time with nitrous and that converter but I like being all motor in the end. Nitrous would just be something to play with.

check out the quickest bolt-on cars list - there are a few guys running 119 or better. yes it takes a super light car... but there are plenty of guys out there with super light cars.
