my car has 122xxx miles it is my daily driver to get me to high school. i want to know what performance parts can i put on it and not loose its realibilty (think i spelled that wrong). next summer im planing on getting it rebuilt. i already have a cold air intake, lowered suspension, and flow masters.

first, lose the blackouts. then get you some long tube headers and true dual exhaust with something other than that choke master. if you plan on rebuilding it, why not throw some juice on it with a tune and speed up the process. the full exhaust will get you ready for a nice h/c combo on a 355 or even a 383 if you like.

do you have any pics of that car lowered 3 inches??? i would like to see. love the color too, same as mine.

If you are rebuilding it in a year i would say just do long tubes and an ORY or true duals. Your going to need them anyways. Other than that save your money up for the rebuild

i would say just wait, or throw a 50shot of nitrous on it, if nitrous is used right it can be reliable.

That looks to me like the 2" drop...looks like mine with the 2" eibach kit in it, before people start thrashing the flowmaster I would really like to see some data to support your claim...flowmaster is a really respected company for performance on all makes of cars. The flowmaster muffler is a series of baffles...tell me how this can choke anything...PLUS THAT SOUND OF PERFOMANCE IS BETTER THAN ANYTHING OUT THERE!

Do a search. I know someone who picked up 35rwhp by opening his cutout on his flowmaster and he was <400rwhp.

Hit up Nitrous Outlet or Harris Speed Works, both places have affordable wet kits, I think HSW might even have one under $400. A4 or M6? If you don't plan on sticky tires, putting some gears in the 10 bolt isn't really going to change reliability and thats a quick cheap way to some more fun.

yeah get rid of the flowmaster..tahts definitely hurting you..wheres the article where a stock exhaust ls1 actually lost power when the flowmaster was put on and it was the only thing changed..go with a full exhaust..longtubes, ory, gmmg or something the such..a good intake..some simpled mods add up fast..gears and a stall also add nicely..is it a4 or m6 you never mentioned

Respected is VERY different from GOOD. Respected just means they have a good marketing department, has almost nothing to do with making a good product.

Personally, I would lose the salad shooters before I built the motor.

Salad shooters are what the wheels you have are called and td's means true duals.
