IM THERE FOR SUREOk folks,
Las Vegas Invasion was a Success and talking with Sarge and several of the Socal clubs everyone wants to do a Los Angeles Invasion. It looks like Memorial day is the best time. I know this event generally is geared towards F-body's, but all GM muscle cars are welcome.
I have talked to California Speedway and we are penciled in for the Saturday (to be confirmed by mid Oct) but the track is expensive. We would have it for the entire day for up to 100 cars with VHT prep, etc... (everything).
But without sponsors it would be $100/car to race!
I would like to supplement the cost of the racing by having sponsors support the event so we can get that down to at least $50/car (more below)
Here is the basic plan so far
Friday (May 23)
4-7pm Meet & Greet Car Wash (Ontario)
9pm Bar
Saturday
8:00am -8:00pm Racing & Car Show (Fontana)
8:00am Dyno day at Westech (tenative)
9pm Bar
Sorry no drift competition allowed I checked. I would like to have a live band and a beer garden (ok with track) so talk to your band friends and have em contact me.
Sunday
8-9am meet up (TBD)
10am Rim of the World Cruise c/o Kaveman42 (thanks)
1pm est Luunch/BBQ and Raffle and Awards
7pm Dinner (TBD)
9pm Bar
Monday
10am Farewell Brunch (TBD)
Like I said to make the Track a reality we need to get sponsors on board. We need at least 10 sponsors to pitch in $500 They can set up and even SELL product if they choose on the track day and are welcome at all events.
I will start a list of all sponsors here once they are on board. Please help if you can. Also I will start making a list of anyone who want to race. As the event gets closer I will get a final price. Once that happens you can prepay to lock in your slot. I will have a website up and running before everything is finalized.

i will attend it and i can get my local GN's and T-types to show up (i know at least for the Drag racing). i can count off about 6 right off the top of my head before i even talk to anyone . i can get a 7 sec twin turbo V8 buick and several mid to high 9 sec GN's.. i think the slowest one we have in your local group is 12 flat..
i want to make sure if i start posting it up and pushing it that i do not effect the 100 car limit for the LS1 guys.. the last event i pushed at Bakersfield i had 20 GN's show up and race..

I am not going to limit any vehicles. Sign up for the race day will be on a first come first serve basis. and once I get the website and paypal up for this preference will go to those who are paid. So even if we exceed 100 feel free to post up still that you want to race. With the demand for this track (on the few days it is open) I don't think we will have any problem filling the slots.

For the cheap seats Ozball, this is exactly what you want. no 400 cars 4 hour wait nonsense. more like LACR line up and go but a better track. 100 cars Max. if we get a few more we will see if we can accomodate.
But if it gets close (60 days out) and the first 100 slots are not filled and paid I may have to open it up to the Stangs and GFB the Rice.
