HAY does anyone have any idea how many cars like this one were built..it is the first SS that I have seen like this. I have seen some Z28s with very little equipment but never a SS. No power anything, no cruise, no T/C, no Hurst shifter, I mean this sucker was stripped.

Thanks Steve for the Stripper!! I'm loving the car. I'm just having to get used to not having all the power accesories. Last night once I cleared the heavy traffic on I20 I tried to set the cruise control. I laughed when I tried to press the button because there wasn't a button I guess I'm a creature of habit.
As far as the rarity of the car, I plan on checking to see if I can find that out. So far all I got is the number of NBM 6 speed SS coupes. It doesn't break down into how many were hardtops and how many were TTop cars.

Hay Brandon thank you for the business!! ... I am real curious on the production numbers for that car ... like I said it is the first SS I have seen built like that.. I hope you have many fun filled miles behind the wheel of your "STRIPPER"..that might be a good license tag since your old tag doesn't work for the new car.. keep the shinny side up ...

I did find an SLP document narrowing it down 54 NBM 6M SS Coupes. It does also refer to how many of those had certain options, but it doesn't say how many had 0 options.
I saw in another post about a dealer being able to reprint a window sticker. Have you done that in the past. I know that SLP can print the second sticker from the cars that they have equipped. They have it on their website and charge about $60 for it. I do plan on getting one from them also. I've sent an email to David Hamburger requesting my build #. He posted stating that he could do that in the specialty car section of this site.
I have checked the AL DOT website and the tag SSTRIPR is available. I can't see myself driving to church with that tag on though I'll probably do BBQ01SS to keep it simple.
Thanks again and when I find out how many were made like this one I'll let you know.

I did some research a while back but can't remember where I found it. I'll do some digging and see if I can remember. I know that my car is 1 of 54 NBM 6M Hardtop SS cars in 01. I found that info here on ls1tech, so it's here you just have to find it.
