Default Need help on picking a Cam

so i finished my H/C/I install,

and my 226/226 patriot cam is great, but its just not as big as i want to,

i got the ls6 stageII patriot heads, 59cc, so i cant get the cam i want (ms4)

so i need help to pick the "biggest" cam i can install with out further modds,

few things i want to clear out first,

i will not flycut my pistons,
i will not measure the ptc
the patriot ls6's got welded chambers, so i can go with a bigger cam.
i know i can go to the 23?/23? zone, but how far?

i just installed the engine in to the car and i am not goin to rip it out agen,

someone here must have done this,

thanks!

try some searching, there are hundreds of threads on here about this. I would check out a V3 tho if dont want to cut or better yet, have a custom one made up by comp cams.

futral F14 or the torquer V2

you could go bigger, but those both yield awesome results and very good driveability

i not trying to be boring

thanks for the answers though,

You dont have to remove the heads to measure PTV clearances.

Cam recommendations are great, but to go ahead and install a larger cam without measuring - guess & hope for the best is just nuts. But hey, its your ride!

Just think of the extra work you'll need to do if your valve does hit a piston. You'll be doing a lot more than just removing the heads at that point.

450rwhp is a tall order with those heads without sticking a monster cam.
Be more realistic and put in a strong but more well rounded cam. That will get you close though.
