Default Need Help with Torque Converter

I know a guy trying to sell the parts off of a late 70's camaro. When he bought it, it did not run and the seller told him that it had a 3500 stall coverter. Is there any way to tell visually if this is in fact the 3500 stall. He said it was 12" in diameter and had no casting #'s that he could see.

A 3500 stall speed and 12" diameter is either old tech and ineffecient or stock and not a high stall.
Theres no way to visually tell the stall speed unless theres a number clearly stamped on it.
