Default Question about Mezeire ewp 55gpm

I just got my new waterpump. Have a question.
The pulley that is on it, is it ok for that pulley not to be turned by the belt?
I was planning on running only the alternator off the belt and thats it.
I just wanted to make sure that is not for cooling the pump.
Also if its ok not to run that pulley, is there a way to remove it?
btw this is a track only car if that matters.

You dont need to turn the pulley, you need a special spanner to take the pulley off. I tried to make one and get it off of there but had no success.

I thought the pulley was also a cooling fan for the electric motor?

Are there fins on the interior of the pulley?

I don't see what good that would do with the coolant running through it.

Could be, but I would think its there mostly so it bolts on to a stock LS1 setup. I run the pump 90% of the time without the car running, hasnt burnt up yet.

I thought about it for a long time and finally chose the 55gpm.
I run the crap out of the car at the track back to back to back and I wanted to make sure I had enough. It may be too much but if so I guess I can sell this one. I was afraid of not having enough and I think it would be tougher to sell the race pump, I don't know?
Guess I will find out soon. I hope

The 55gpm will cool the car off super quick, you pay for it with some weight and current draw but I can hot lap my car on a 90 degree day so I'll live with it.

Only problem is getting the pulley off..

The pulley just allows you to keep the stock belt and rounting. If you don't have those things, then don't worry about it. It does nothing else.
