Default backfire problems

i have no catylitic converter, and my car will backfire if i let off at a high rpm. the car is stick, is that normal? the car runs fine but sometimes itll backfire and shoot flames. is that ok?

Mine would do that sometimes also before I got the car tuned a leaned out a bit.

Changed Spark Plugs and now she is ticking at the tailpipe and Bumping/Backfireing...
I think I have an exhaust leak...

No Cats or emmisions.
Race Muffler...

...thoughts?

Its running rich, a tune can get rid of that.

As long as it is not very excessively rich it will cost you power but wont hurt anything, unles it is rich enough to wash out the cylinder walls.

Before you and go get a high dollar tune thinking it will cure it. There are many factors to what it can be including your driver mod. Just thought I would throw that in.
