Default clunking on slow decel

On slow speed decelaration (under 20 mph) there's a clunking sound from the rear, not real loud. It follows the wheel speed, sounds like maybe one clunk per rev (not sure). It's done this forever, not affected by changing shocks, tires/wheels, or springs. Anyone else had this and found the problem?
