looking for the longest duration numbers anyone has sucessfully installed in a stock shortblock motor. i know that raging has the 230/230 and that OnyxSS had that 232 ish cam on stock bottom ends, whats the limit? say 236/242 575/561 on a 110? Patrick G, Onyx? anyone? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

Raw cam numbers like that mean nothing. Usually the intake valve is the one that will cause the problem, but not always. The opening and closing points of the valves are needed in order to make an accurate comparison too. For example, I could advance a 240/240 cam enough to get it to clear with a stock bottom end but it wouldnt be a good idea.

Fenris, agreed, but im looking for a little bit more practical of an application. ;D say installed at a 112-114 CL and can be toyed with either way, (retarded in the application i mentioned earlier) to hit that 44-46* ABDC sweet spot. im looking at custom grinds right now and want get is close to peaking at or around 6700-6900 so i can trap just right. and keep the split for the bottle <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
