Intake question, I'm sure someone has thought of this...

You will have opened up another air hole. On the driver side, looks like it will be close to the air intake. I don't see any downside other than the cutting itself. The air dam underneath directs air up into the radiator, I wouldn't think this would counteract the physics of the thing.

I remember asking the same question here a while back, Someone said that you really wouldn't get any gains at all and it could actually kind of mess with your aerodynamics.
Think if you have holes in there and your driving on the highway, air is constantly going through the holes creating drag all the time, but if there left blocked up then those pockets actually "fill up" with air, so more air molecules cant fit in creating a solid.
I dont know, that could be complete BS, but I really dont think you would see any gain, but if you want go for it.

When I had a K&N Filtercharger on mine, I removed it. On the driver's side, it sends air into the fenderwell, which is where the Filtercharger was located.
I never had any problems except once. I drove through a downpour, and it sucked water into the filter. The car stumbled, but did not die.
I then put screws in it and put the part back on when I was not intending to go racing.

you won't see any gain, because the air is sucked in from all directions of the engine bay that you can't even imagine. it's a good thought, but it would be a wasted effort, unless you fab up something extremely beautiful and present it at carshows and what-not. however, you won't see any gains at all.
