what headers for a 427??

Default what headers for a 427??

i've got it down to either kooks 1 7/8" or kook 17/8" stepped to 2". it's an n/a motor in a DD car, what do you guys think??

specs:
AFR 225cc w/ 72cc chambers
243/249 .629/.629 112+2 Lsa

i would say straight 1 7/8 b/c with the stepped header they dont make a y-pipe big enough.

Yeah stay with the 1 7/8 not the stepped.

Why not get it stepped and a custom TD setup to fit?

well that's what i was going to do...in fact, im going cutoms TD anyway, but the stepped headers are much more expensive and if i'm not going to see any gain, they're really not worth it.

besides, i'm going to be selling them in a couple years anyway when i get ym turbos and i think the standard 17/8" will be easier to off load for closer to what i paid for them

Yeah, you wouldn't see that much gain from the stepped over the 1 7/8". save your money and just go with the 1 7/8".
