Default How long should a factory clutch last?

I have a 99 WS-6 with a shade under 70K on it. I don't run it very hard, though i will get on it at times. I'm just curious as to how long i have before i need to swap clutches.

Is there a specific shelf life for these things, hit or miss, or does it all just depend on how hard you are on it. Rough estimates are welcome. Thanks.

IMO, there are so many variables that can play into this. It lasted 15K on mine. Second time at the track with a cam and full exhaust, it slipped and it chattered the whole way home. And I don't drive mine hard on the street.

Then my buddy's 02 SS has 70K on it and he has ran the dog **** out of that car with only a cat-back and it's just now starting to act up.

Then there are some that last over 120K. Depends on how it was drove.

Hi Folks
My 97 Z-28 had the clutch replaced at 15K miles, now on the New clutch I have 135K on the car and still apears to be OK. It all depends on how you drive, lot of stop&go, racing all the time, short life. Highway with some city driving, it will last a long time. No good answer with some facts.
Thanks
Bill

As the others say, its pretty much impossible to predict how much longer your stock clutch will last. I am pushing 90k on mine, with 400rwhp but very few trips to the track (less than 20 total). I get on it every now and then, but never dump the clutch or anything like that (except for the occasional burnout).

My friends camaro has 140k on it, with the stock clutch, he has put that 140k on it. I know its legit. He drives it kinda hard, but is always nice to the clutch, for some reason he has a fear of burning his clutch. Car is near stock.... exhaust intake... nothing big, my slave gave out at 120k on the stock clutch.. but the acual clutch was fine

Replaced mine at ~25K. When I shifted, the clutch slipped so much that the rpms didn't change.
