Default No turn signals...

I am having a problem with my turn signals.

All lights are on when not using a turn signal.

When i switch it for right or left turn, the rear brake light on that side will go on solid. The green dash light on that side will go on solid, and the front turn light will just stay lit as per normal.

If i put on the hazard lights, with the headlights off, my rear brake lights will flash, fron lights will stay off. Dash lights flash. Turn headlights on, rears keep flashin, as does dash, front turn lights go on, but do not flash.

Ideas?

Seems like what ever makes things flash works..at least with hazard lights. But not when i use turn signals.

Thanks.

I will try and clean them. So...can the bulb be shot, if it does light up, but does not flash?

I think i have an extra bulb, so will try and clean the socked as well as changing the bulb.

Thanks. Will post my findings.

Ok..replaced the bulb, it now flashes but it seems to flash slow??? And it gets very hot, like in 20 seconds. Maybe that is just the way they are.

I tried to clean the socket, but need to find a better way to clean it..Hard to get in there. ANd yes..it is dirty.

bulbs get hot, its normal, that is how they work

Friend had a problem with a slow flash/no flash issue on one side. Left was fine, right would act funny. Found his socket was bad, the ground was rusted on it.
