There is a small plug on the top of my intake, and you can pull it and it will pop open like a pop off valve......is this some kind of backfire saftey feature or are yall aware of it.....2002 6.0

The reason I'm posting here, we're getting ready to boost it, and I'm thinking about epoxing this baby shut!

Never heard of that? Can you post a pic? My first guess would be an EGR blockoff plate, but a 2002 would have the LS6 intake manifold without the EGR provision

Nah, this is on a 2002 6.0 TRUCK engine. Sorry bout the mix up.
