The SS muffler is by SLP. It give a lower throatier tone. At idle it's nearly as quiet as stock but it really opens up nice at full throttle. Very low restriction.

Also (at least on my SLP CME) the muffler is a
lot bigger that the stocker and looks like a
hand-built full stainless job. Its exit pipes are
2.5" (where the Z/28 exit pair look pretty thin,
but I've never measured those). And the I-pipe is
3.25" OD although it necks down to the standard
3" at the slip fitting to the Y-pipe.

Purported to be +10HP on a stock vehicle in GM's
Camaro literature so it's probably true, and then
some; these SLP exhausts are half of the 345HP
(+20HP) SS option package (the other half being
the SLP Blackwing lid). I only got the 335HP
option on mine (bought mine late in the year, got
whatever SLP was hanging on cars that day).

The CME is annoyingly quiet.

I believe the I pipe on the SLP is actually 3" and not 3.25. I say this from first hand experience last weekend. The I pipe actually slips over the end of the Y pipe. When I tried to connect the SLP I pipe to my Kooks 3" Y pipe, I found they were the exactly the same diameter. I then looked at the stock Y and found that the end is reduced just a little to allow for the 3" SLP I to fit over it.
