Default I have an Edit MAP question :)

What does this represent, why does one modify it, and how does one go about modifying it

Not sure what you are talking about. The MAP is a sensor (manifold absolute pressure) you log in atap or efilive. It tells how much vacuum the intake manifold is under, somewhat related to throttle position but also affected by rpm and outside air pressure. It's used in most of the fueling tables.
