Which trans,powerglide or 350 turbo?

Default Which trans,powerglide or 350 turbo?
3435 lbs. with me in it,best 60' 1.43 on motor with a glide with 1.76 planets,leaving off the trans brake @ 4,000..580 rwhp N/A seems that the
60' should be better.Best 60' on a 100 shot was a 1.31.Just wondering if the turbo would do any better?

The turbo wouldn't rob as much power...What rear gear are you running?

9" ford 5.13 gears.1/8th mile tracks around here.

the powerglide robs less power than a th350 but with the th350 you get that low 1st gear. much more torque to help your 60'. lighter high horsepower cars will benefit more from a glide. heavier cars need that low 1st gear ratio.

With your car at the weight and power it is I would think it will go faster with the 3 speed.
