Smoke normal when hammering the pedal?
Ive recently noticed my car puts out a little black smoke when i get on it, is that normal or should i do something about it.

Far as I know, it is normal. Probably from the "low pressure" piston rings causing oil to blow by at high RPMs.
Mine shoots a lot of crap out the tail pipes when I approach redline, and there is nothing wrong with it.... besides no cats

Black smoke is pretty commonplace with out cars. Especially if you have headers. The black smoke is caused by a rich condition. White smoke is coolant, and blue is oil, of course. Im not sure if the smoke is caused by blow by past our low tension rings. While the idea is correct, unless you burn alot of oil, youre not likely burning enough to smoke noticeably. Plus the smoke would be blue, not black. Anyway, yes its normal.

Im not sure if the smoke is caused by blow by past our low tension rings. While the idea is correct, unless you burn alot of oil, youre not likely burning enough to smoke noticeably. Plus the smoke would be blue, not black. Anyway, yes its normal.
