Default using oem seat brackets for race ones?

I read a while back that a guy gutted his oem seat and bolted his plastic race seat to it. He said it was sweet cause it was still adj. front to back and bolted on normal. Anyone else hear of this or do it? Id hate to tear my seat apart to find out no, lol.

you can mount any seat on just about any factory slider if you make a bracket to mount the seat to the sliders

I started to do that on mine, but when I got the bracket off it felt twice as heavy as just the seat without the bracket. If your trying to lose wieght its not worth it. Also I think aftermarket seats have to attach to the bar a the back. Not sure about that though. I ended up using my fatory seat with stock mounts for now.

I mounted a Kirkey seat to the stock non power seat sliders. Worked out great. The above post is correct about attaching the seat back to the rollbar. Mine is not.
