I am about to puchase a supercharger but i was wondering which is better the maggie or the whipple. If you are running something other than those let me know as well as how well do they fit under the back of the engine bay, under the cowl. and what did it take to install them because I havnt found a basic fbody kit just corvette and gto. please let me know I really need this info before I know which one to get.

The only kit that has been made to fit an f body is the Late Model Speed maggie kit.... dont quote me on this but it is like 6k and that is the only kit that will fit. RJW is working on a solution for that right now though.

Would this work? Scroll to the bottom of the link, it says f-body kit. Does it look like it would work?

There are no twin screw kits for an F-Body at present, unless you are handy with an angle grinder etc lol.
Late Model Speed is the only place to offer a complete Maggie package for an F-body

Gets asked all the time... "Kenne Bell in an f-body?!!" "Question about installing this Twin screw!"
They need to find one of the informative threads, sticky it, and include that the only option for a TS or roots as of right now (without hacking one up yourself) is Ed's kit @ LMS.

NOBODY Makes a Whipple, or any twin screw that fits an F-Body without some major cutting.
If you are prepared to cut the car a bit, fit a new hood, perhaps a lot of other custom parts, then yes, you could make a twin screw kit that bolts onto an LSx motor, fit your car.
But if you want 750-800rwhp, with any valley mounted blower, then you are going to have to do a lot of custom work.

D1SC minimum...
What parts do you have so far? If you're building a shortblock for a supercharger... It's not only supercharger ready, it's turbocharger ready pretty much.. It's just that another cam would be recommended.

Use the search facility, or else. A twin screw doesnt fit, and there are no kits available..
Hardly warrants a sticky if people cant be bothered to search.

Perhaps the new larger 122H might, but thats probably being wishful too.
Perhaps if you cut up the car, build a suitable shortblock, convert to Vette Accessories then fit a suitable hood you could make KB's twin screw fit, which is apparently capable of 800rwhp.
Just make sure you have plenty of blades for your grinder lol or any other cutting tools !! Might even need to alter your windscreen I believe...or you could just remove it. Not sure how far back it sits.
Or if you are very patient, RJW and Aussie VooDoo are working on twin screw kits for the Vette and GTO respectively, which may or may not have hopes of fitting an F-body. But these are purely prototype.

I know somebody that could do it
seriously though, the maggie kit is great, but it is what it is, and nothing more. We have had several guys that already had aggressive head and cam combinations, install the maggie kit with great results, and honestly a maggie equipped car with 550-600RWHP is very hard to beat. The low end torque is un-real, very similar to a twin turbo.
