Sold my Supercharged SS-she'll be missed
I watched my prized possession get loaded up on a trailer and get taken away a little while ago. Sucks, it was my first Camaro SS, a car I've wanted since I was a young boy. Unfortunately for me I have to get out of the game and watch on the sidelines again..
Now before you ask why did I sell it was because I needed the money. I am 35 and have more important priorities right now. It sucks being all grown up and responsible! I wish I could have figured out a way to pull in more income to make the car how I always wanted but it just wasn't meant to be.
I probably won't be getting back into another hot rod car anytime soon.(unless I found a barrel of money or marry a rich woman -both highly unlikely)
I still have a major passion but my wallet and my common sense is holding me back. Its just not worth putting yourself into debt for. Just sucks to put so much time, effort and money into something and barely get any of it back when you sell.
Well enough of my sad story, I think reality will set in tomorrow when I go into the garage and don't see her in there.. I'll still be on the board posting I just won't have any nice car to drive anymore.
Please pour out a half a quart of oil for me.
Later.

Dont worry, you'll be back in the game much sooner than you think.

I have no idea why it took so long either, everyone wants something for nothing.
Thanks

Sorry for your loss, but I agree, if it's truly a passion for you, you'll be back into it quickly. And someone out there got the benefit of your care and hard work.

+1! Also, I feel your pain. Although my 98 Z28 wasnt anywhere near as nice, fast, or clean as your SS I still miss it a ton. Worst thing is is that I didnt even need to sell it (found this out after the fact.) I sold it because I never drove it and I was looking o buy a house for myself and my gf and being 25 years old I didnt need the extra debt associated with a car I only drove on the weekends. About a month after selling it, I was offered a new position with a different investment firm, almost doubling my salary, and the car would have easily been afforbale on top of my mortgage payments. Thing is I sold it locally to a kid who lives right near me and I see it all the time and I get so angry that i sold it. Thing is I know somewhere down the road I will buy and build a car better than my Z28, and im sure you will do the same so dont worry.

I seriously almost shed a tear for you. This game is tough on the finances. I'm only a few years yonger than you thinking about that time soon enough, when I also will have to use my common sense and sell this money pit. Every year that goes by, I drive the car less and need the money more. So don't feel too bad, your not alone on the hard times. I'm sure you made the right choice and will get back in it as soon as you can.

Now who's going to help defend the Vortech's? The Vortech crowd is pretty thin now. I know what you mean about people not wanting to pay anything for something nice, that's why I just end up keeping it all, I won't give it away.
