TB drill mod necessary w/ TR224 /114 LSA and 5.3L heads?
If so, what are your experiences? How big? I do want to maintain about a 800 rpm idle....I love the current lope.

randy, i dont see why you would need to go bigger on the TB blade hole if you you are sticking with the same cam and going with better flowing heads. assuming you are happy with the idle now, then leave it alone. IAC counts can be fixed via ls1edit. making the hole bigger is just a physical way of doing it. i say wait untill it is all finished and evaluate the idle. i bet you will be surprised it is very similar to stock heads.

Thanks Gator, I was thinking the same thing, but it seems people are doing this drill mod a lot. I will talk to Mark about the IAC calibration.

i am sure you knwo this, but are you confusing the hydra line in the clutch as the "drill mod" or the TB Blade hole mod. the hole mod has been around since we started putting cams in. it was a cheap easy way to increase the IAC count before we had Edit.
