PSJ,
I noticed that in ND last week, it's an ad that he must have have put back in b/c it was for sale earlier in the year as he has a new 'vette stocker and F-body super stocker.

He campaigned Mopars for years, and didn't have much trouble making the switch to the LS1 'birds. I saw him run several times at the US Nationals this year, and was a little sad to not see both the yellow and orange 'birds run in their respective classes. If it wasn't a body-in-white car, it would make a fun street car.
He also owns a drag strip in Wisconsin. I believe it's the Rock Falls Dragway. Now that would be the life!

Camscam,
I would be happy to let you know how stockers are built. Send me a PM.
Tosto,
The EFI classes are going away next year and you will be racing with the carb guys too. B/FI will be with the C/S class. Still 9 lbs per hp. Fast B (C/S) cars run in the 10.30's at 3248 lbs with the LS1 and 3185 lbs with the LT.
Those are with driver. The LS stick has not been hit with HP. Most guys are running autos and they have to carry about 200lbs mre that the sticks right now. Stockers are really fun. Not cheap to make them go fast. It is a true test to see how to do more with less hp.

Car is coming along very well actually. I'll post some pics up here soon when it gets closer.
I saw the efi classes are being combined with the carb guys.
I thought that a/fi would be with a/s
and b/fi would be with b/s and so on is that right?

Yep, it's by Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Nice little facility. I think it's $85 to test and tune. Atleast that's what it was a couple years ago. Have a couple friends up that way that say it isn't the best hooking track though

Tosto,
The carb guys have 1/2 lb weight breaks where the EFI classes have 1 lb weight breaks.
For sticks
A/FI = A/S 8.0 lbs per hp
B/FI = C/S 9.0 lbs per hp
C/FI = E/S 10.0 lbs per hp
B/S is 8.5 lbs per hp
D/S is 9.5 lbs per hp
So you can make more classes with the 1/2 lb weight breaks since the Firebird is "papered" well it can make many classes depending on how you claim the car by year and model (Firebird,Formula,Trans Am)
Who is doing your engine?

Good luck with the Stocker. The new indexes, if they come through, will allow us to run .2 faster without getting hit with HP.
E-mail me if you have any questions. I would be happy to help where I can.

Thanks.
It is a shame you don't live out here in Division 1. You could make some passes in the Silver car. It runs 10.60s at 3530lbs and 10.30s at 3200lbs with a full load of oil and no ice on the manifold. Let me know if you are ever coming out this way.
