Default ??Best method to keep the battery charged while editing??

I'm getting ready to start tweeking with edit.I just want to make sure I don't have any issues related to the battery dying on me during programming. I tried a search and sifted through quite a few posts but didn't find an answer.Thanks.

Your best bet is to ditch the stock battery and get an Optima. You'll never have a problem then.

There are issues with AC charges, in that the current put out by them tends to be "dirty". The safest bet is either to get a good battery, or if you want extra insurance get one of the 12V jump packs and hook that up.

This is very true; you would not want to be editing with a conventional charger hooked up. What I do is use the charger to top off the battery before I start editing, then unhook it.

I usually hook up my charger, didn't know it was a bad idea. I hook that up to the battery and then run an ext cord for the laptop as to make sure that doesn't die for unknown reason. No problems so far.

This is not like HPP. It only takes 2 minutes to program . If your battery won't stay up for that long you're not going anywhere anyway

Yanking the e-brake before turning the key on will disable the DRLs on a Firebird. Don't know what it does on a Camaro (which is funny since I have one ) , I know they have a different system. I'll try it tonight.

I'm usually more worried about the laptop BATTERY dying - maybe that's what you actually meant??
