How much did you cut your tubs to 16"?
I am building mine now planning to use a 315 60 15 on a 15x12 rim, with it tucked in about 1.5-1.75 inches from the fender lip, which will give me about .75-1.0 inches of clearance from my 1 1/4" LCA.
I relocated my LCA and panhard brackets, as well as the shock mount on top. Gives you a lot more room. I am not class racing so the stock brackets had no appeal to me anymore.
Biggest tire I think I can fit with the tubs as high as they are now is probably a 29.5x11.5w.

For the street I am planning on running a MT 315/60/15 on a 12" rim.
I am setting the rear up to sit around 27.5 to 28 fender lip to the ground.

Cut it flush with the frame?
I cut mine 17" from the fender lip and there is only about 3 1/2" from the cut metal to the back of the stock spring location. It will cut off the top shock hole and you'll have to cut around the the factory shock area and move in the metal some.
When you cut it 16" it will be cut where the stock shock bushing is right up against the tub.
You'll gain more than an inch relocating the LCA, the outside of my LCA is over 16" , was about 16 1/2- 16 3/4 from the fender lip, will remeasure it today.
You'll gain 2 full inches of clearance vs. offset LCA's in the stock location. I measured mine with 1 1/4" offset lca's in the stock location and I had about 14 1/2 from fender lip to the LCA.
I'm going to take some photos today and get them developed. I will post them hopefully by tonight.
I will take pics of the offset LCA in the stock location and where it mounts relocated along with some photos of the cut out frame, plates I made to box the frame and how I cut the panhard bracket to show the clearance you'll have.
I will take some pics with and without the tires on, it has a 275 60 15 on it now and there is a ton of room behind the tire it's 6" or close to it.

That dudes car has a little more than the typical mini tub job done to it LMAO. It's pretty much a 25.2. pics I saw of it has a 32.5x16 slick on the car.
Very nice car, W2W does awesome work.
After looking at the car and measuring I am putting a full tub in mine, I want to be able to lower the car and with a 30" tire tucked in some you can't lower it much if any.
BTW where are the updated photos of your car? I dropped my photos off at the place so I will have them done soon to post on here of the work in progress.
