Default What is this yoke from...?

I got this yoke off of a driveshaft that supposedly came out of a nascar nextel cup car. Its got 30 splines with two larger indexing splines. Anyone know what this fits?

Is it 1.750" OD? It probably fits 32-spline tranny's like a T-10, T-101, Jerico, etc.

I understand that it has 30 visible splines when you count them. So think of it this way: You "could" fit one more spline in each of those wider slots, it is really a 32 spline yoke made to fit a tranny with a 32 spline output shaft.

Consider this, if there were four of those wider spline sections in it, now there would only be 28 splines, but it would still fit the same tranny.

I don't know why the two wider splines are there. It may just vary from one manufacturer to another, or it may be used to phase the yoke properly...maybe the tailshaft on the tranny has a wider spline?

So.....what is the OD of the yoke??

You're right, I was thinking a TH400 yoke was 1.750", but it is actually 1.885-1.886" OD. That Yoke will fit any of the trannies I listed originally.
