Default Where to ground gauges inside

I understand there is a ground location near the front kick panel on the driver's side. Where exactly is it located? If I have to remove the kick panel, how do I do that? Is there a better ground near that location?

This is for some Autometer gauges I am installing.

Can I just drill a hole in behind the A-Pillar trim piece and put a screw in there and use that as a place to ground it?

(the gauges are mounted in the A-pillar)

Thanks for the info.

I don't suppose there is anything on the driver's side I can use, is there?

Would rather not run a wire all the way over to the passenger side if I can avoid it.

just ad a screw and ring terminal somewhere on metal. as long as you scrape the paint off to where you get bare metal youll be okay.

OK cool, I will just hide one under the A-Pillar cover. Just wasn't sure if I could get away with that or not.

Thanks!
