Default Need harness for monsoon HU

I pulled my Monsoon HU out a couple months ago and replaced it with a decent alpine HU. sounds good, looks good, no problems My issue is that i misplaced the Harness that plugs into the monsoon HU. I think one o fmy roomates trashed it when cleaning up in the garage Reason for wanting it: i am replacing my dads cassette deck HU in his 95 pickup with my old monsoon. I believe it will fit with very minor modification, if any. Does anyone know where i could obtain the harness?

The harness should be available from any audio shop - perhaps even Wal*Mart. It is the standard 88-up GM harness.

I think he needs the f-body's car harness in addition to the the adapter harness that is sold in stores. That way he can make an adapter that on one end will be the original f-body connector to plug into the back of the Monsoon headunit, the other end will be the connector to plug into the 95 pickup harness.

His best bet is to cut the f-body car harness from a car in the junk yard.

The Delco/Monsoon head unit should plug directly into the factory harness. GM used the same harness in almost all of its vehicles from 88 thru 99 (and several models beyond that - including f-bodies).

I wasn't sure about the harness being the same. In that case, it should be a simple plug-and-play. No additional harness needed.

i don't know if this helps but my dad and i had a 92 camaro that we put a 96 bose stero in it. that was plug and play with the fact that it need the 92 camaro bose speakers too. my mom has a 99 blazer and we put a kenwood deck in it and i was going to put the stock 99 deck in another 92 camaro i had but the wires wouldn't match up...

as far as the harness for the monsoon. is it the end thats on the car? if it is try check out ebay.

The only way a 99 head unit won't plug into a 92 Camaro is if the 92 had a Bose system. The Bose required different wiring because of the common speaker grounds and power to the individual speaker amps. Otherwise 92 and 99 use identical connectors.
