Default Worth getting 1-7/8" LT's to replace my 1-3/4"?

Would it be worthwhile to install some 1 7/8" long tubes to replace my 1 3/4" ones I have now? I can't see it making a huge difference, but I don't know. I'm making around 750 RWHP now, if that matters. I have old Thunder Racing long tubes that they made years ago.

I dont know how much you will pick up but I use 1 7/8 headers with 3" collectors and I will probably go to 2" with 3.5 collectors soon. It certainly wont hurt anything but I'm sure it will pick up some power.

I wouldn't go out of my way to make a 1/8" increase - I'd wait until I knew it was holding me back and then jump a solid 1/4". I certainly know a bunch of people between 800-1000rwhp that have 1 3/4" longtubes.

I have 1 3/4" so I'm in the same boat, and have been asking the same questions. The way I see it now, I have a lot of custom tweaks in place to deal with these headers, and it's just not worth maybe 20rwhp to swap them out yet.

With FI it isn't as big of a deal as if you had 400+ cubes. Just keep on to the 1 3/4's.

I still have the 1 3/4 on my Z28 in my sig, and I have came to the same conclusion that its just not worth it. All the hassle of swapping the headers, not to mention the vast cost of getting new ones, all for what, maybe 10-15 more RWHP (if that)? Not worth it in my book.
