The TTII's are clearcoated so you must treat he wheels like the clear on your car unless you want to burn through!

Mothers or Meguiars Aluminum/Mag wheel polish and work that **** into all the areas you possibly can until you see the actual polish start to turn black and "liquify". When it does that throw some more polish on it and rub more into it to bring out the shine, oh and get ready for one of your arms and/or shoulders to fall off. THEN after one of your arms is useless and tired and you feel like jumping off a cliff, you will notice that you have 3 more wheels to go. but hey they will look pimp even if it takes 5 hours to do it right

When I bought a set of used TT2's for my old TA, they had some minor pitting due to the previous owner driving in the salt twice. No amount of hand polishing would do, so I ultimately wetsanded them down...followed up with some steel wool, and then polished the crap out of them to bring them back to life. From afar, they looked better than new...but up close, they still had just a little bit of pitting remaining...but at least they shined up nice.

In salt twice and they pitted? I didn't know it happens that fast?

Anyone bought the new chrome TTM's yet? I'm serious thinking of getting these because my car parks outside under a large carport and cats spray the wheels from time to time and that would be too hard on TT2's

Mothers Billet Polish works wonders, by hand it will take time. I always used a powerball on my Boyd's and they were perfect, no scratches or anything.

I have the documentation with all (3) pairs of mine that says they are clearcoated, straight from American Racing. Maybe they stopped doing it recently for EPA or cost reasons?

In any case, I have 15x6's, 15x7's, and 15x8's for a non-F body application and they were all purchased right around the time they came out with the TTII's in the late 90's/ early 00's. For me, regular Mother's cleaner wax does a good job cleaning the heavy stuff off then I use a sealer from Wizzard to make them shine & help keep the brake dust off.
