Default alternator??

anyone else put the low driverside alternator on a 6 liter block

i was trying to put mine on and noticed that only 2 bolts went through and connected to the block am i missing something or is there only supposed to be 2 the alt came off of a 98 ls1

If it is an Iron 6.0, it will not have the 3rd hole. You need to drill and tap it. I did the same thing with my 5.3.

been running with two on my lq4 and it hasnt had a problem.

if yu you just want insurance of the third hole you can get a piece of metal, make a bracket and make room for the third hole an just turn a washer on the back side.
