Default be warned dum idea ahead spinning supercharger faster then use blow off valve to

Lets say you had a engine that will hold 10psi of boost so normally you gear the procharger or which ever brand you have. to max at 10 psi at your redline. or close. so it starts making boost at 3k rpms to redline.

Now what you if took that set up use a smaller pulley so it would spin faster at a lower engine speed but at redline would be pushing to much boost let say now it starts boost at 2k rpms and is pushing 14 psi at redline. which would blow engine so you use a blow off valve on intake piping to bleed off the 4 psi.
should give you more mid range and bottom end power. cause the boost will come in sooner.

Ok This is just a idea that i had looking for you out take of it.

You wouldnt use a blow off valve, you'd use a wastegate. There is a thread on here where it was done on a mustang.

Do a search.. It's been discussed many of times... Basically it won't work and part of the reason why is because it's going to put more stress on the blower to spin it harder and bleed it off... Also in the grand scheme of things what does it matter if boost comes in a 2K cuz if you're drag racing you're going to be leaving higher than 3k most times anyways...

yes i know it would stress the blower a little more but why would that make it not work.
dones anyone have the link for the mustang that did it.

Alot of people do it but use inlet restrictions to slow down the top rpm boost.

is all that work really worth the extra x horsepower? superchargers already do a great job down low, and when u think about it let say u wanted 10psi across the board, you would need at least an F1 to make 10psi down low, and it would make almost 20psi up top. so youd have to bleed off 10pounds of air (alot of air with an F1) and then spend tons of power to spin a F1 over a d1sc.

and doing it without the F1 would mena you would be spinning a smaller blower to its extremes

There are better ways to go about bottom end grunt from a blower. Compression and cam choice are 2 of the big ones.

The parasitic loss from the charger will offset the gains. There are been debate on this going on for a while, the usual end result is its not worth it.

Or design in a twin screw setup from the beginning.
