when you're doing an engine swap..
like if i have a 3.8. and putting a 5.7 in with the 6speed transmission... can i just drop the engine and trans in.. or do i have to remove the front axel and wheel like this pic:

so i'd have to jack the car pretty high then.
i dont understand how the axle/wheels come off with it. how do you disconnect that from the rest of the body. just bolts?

Yea, six k member bolts, then unbolt the 4 strut mounts under the hood and take the trans cross member off..
You also have to unbolt the pcm and disconnect 3 connections under the passangerside kick panel and pull a short section of wiring into the engine bay and leave the harness attached to the motor..

removing the six cylinder engine from the not isn't all that hard, i've done it. but going from the bottom would be easier, just doing it at home jacked up like that scares the **** out of me! find a friend with a lift lol
