Default Just a stupid question about idle

When my car is being driven and the rps are x amount....is it normal for the rpms to go up when you put the trans into nutral while driving at the same speed? I let someone drive my car yesterday and we were at lets say 1200rpm and he put the shifter into nutral at about the same speed. The rpms went to 2000+. He said there is something wrong with the car. Is it normal or what?

Sure, when you remove the load the engine can spin
up some. There is commanded excess airflow in the
tune and you spin more for the same air with less load.

Yeah thats what I was thinking because isnt it true that the tc isnt engaged? so therefore it just spins freely because its not hooked up.

The guy who said this is a potential buyer of my car. He was just trying to talk me down How dare him tell me about MY ls1!!!

Mine does that occasionally. I don't think it's a problem.
