would it matter if you sleaved a ls6 compared to a ls1 block? i'm looking for duribility and from what i understand the ls6 is better but when you sleave it does it really matter?

Default Re: sleaving blocks

The LS6 blocks apprarently have a slightly better casting than the LS1 blocks. Check page 11 of the latest GMHTP magazine , you may have an LS6 cast and not know it.

If your are lucky enough to have a set of the latest Darton / Lingenfelter style wet sleeves, upper deck strength will be increased by virtue of the design . I guess if you have an LS6 block to start , that's good but a reasonably true LS1 block will be just as good if you use the new Darton jobbies.
